The last lunch event with Warren Buffett has drawn a record-breaking 19 million U.S. dollars.
The eBay auction, which closed on Friday night, ended with a winning bid 4 times higher than the previous record set in 2019.
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, will enjoy a meal with the billionaire businessman in New York.
A number of guests are allowed.
The competition was especially fierce this year as this will be last charity lunch event by the oracle of Omaha.
The benefit has raised more than 53 million dollars since it started in 2000.
The money goes to Glide, a nonprofit organization that helps the poor and homeless.
Bloomberg asked Buffet's company why the lunch is being discontinued.
Berkshire Hathaway said they'll find other ways to work with Glide to help the homeless.
