The granddaughter of a Chinese sporting legend has made history at the Tokyo Olympics.
For more, let's head to sports reporter Jonathan White in Tokyo.
Johnny, you're at the athletics this evening,
and all eyes are on a Chinese heptathlete that actually used to represent Canada.
Yeah, Zheng Ninali, she's known... now she's a naturalised Chinese athlete.
She was known as Nina Schultz when she used to represent Canada.
She won a silver medal in the Commonwealth Games for them,
where she came second to Katarina Johnson-Thompson of Great Britain, who is also in heptathlon right now.
And so, Zheng, she is 23. Her grandma used to represent China. She was a high jumper.
郑妮娜力今年23岁 。她的外祖母是中国的一位跳高运动员 。
She was the first world record holder from China. But she never made it to the Olympics.
也是中国第一位世界纪录创造者 。但很遗憾，她没参加过奥运会 。
But now her granddaughter has made it to the Olympics.
And she made history today as China's first naturalized track and field athlete.
Yeah, and it seems like people in China, at least on Weibo, are getting behind her.
Oh yeah, they're big fans, especially of her tattoo, which says do your best.
And she's doing her best. She's 10th at the moment after three events, we've got another one to come here shortly.
她确实也做到了自己的最好 。在三项比赛之后，她现在位居第十名，接下来马上是另外一项比赛 。
And then it'll all be done tomorrow night with the 800 meters. Hopefully she can get a medal in the meantime.
明晚的800米结束之后，七项全能比赛就全部结束了 。祝愿她能在这个项目上获得一枚奖牌 。
