Russia has imposed sanctions against United States President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
The Russian Foreign Ministry also listed US Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, and the other senior U.S. Government leaders as well.
The move is in response to a series of unprecedented sanctions from the United States on Russia.
The sanctions would prohibit travel and freeze assets held in Russia.
The foreign ministry also indicated that it would be maintaining official relations with Washington
and if necessary, ensure that high-level contacts with the people on the list could still take place.
Russia has introduced its own draft UN Security Council resolution on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine.
This comes a day after an earlier draft put forward by Mexico and France was moved from the Council to the General Assembly.
Russia's Ambassador announced earlier today that it would put its own draft to the vote.
It demands the full protection of civilians and respect for international humanitarian law.
