The Universal Beijing Resort, which comprises the theme park, two hotels and a Citywalk, was initially supposed to open in spring this year.
But this had been delayed for months due to the pandemic, meaning it also missed out on the peak summer vacation period.
Trial operations began for invited visitors earlier this month with strict health protocols in place.
Research firm Analysys says the pandemic has brought unprecedented operational challenges for theme park operators.
While the park was supposed to be a draw for overseas tourists, this is unlikely with travel restricted due to the pandemic.
But Analysys says China's domestic market is big enough to sustain it for now, even though some have complained that tickets are too expensive.
Prices range from 65 to about 150 US dollars.
The 7.7 billion resort is an investment by a Beijing-based state-owned company and America's Comcast NBCUniversal.
The new attraction has reportedly created 10,000 jobs. A new subway station was also built to access the park.
据报道，这一新景点已经创造了1万个工作岗位 。此外还修建了一个直通园区的新地铁站 。
