The Chinese mainland has reported six locally transmitted COVID cases in the northwest province of Shaanxi.
Two of them are tourists from Shanghai.
They are husband and wife, both 62 years old.
On Oct. 9, they flew to Xi'an city in Shaanxi province and transferred to Gansu province.
The couple are under observation at a hospital in Xi'an.
Monday morning, a new confirmed case was reported in Yinchuan city in northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
The case was a close contact of the Shanghai couple.
Elsewhere, two asymptomatic cases were reported in Yunnan province.
