一.decide to：决定
e.g.:It all depends on what you decide to believe.
这一切都取决于你决定要相信什么。
二.avoid：vt.避免, 逃避, [律]使无效,撤销
【语法用法】
avoid后可接动名词，不可接不定式。
You had better avoid reading in the train.
你最好避免在地铁上阅读。
句中的reading不可改成to read。
avoid指“避免（成功）”，若是企图避免却失败的，不可用avoid。
I avoided meeting him, but somehow bumped against him.
句中我企图避免见他，却还是撞上了，不可单用avoid，需把avoided改成tried to avoid。
指得注意的是，“避免”和“防止”有这本质上的区别，两者不可混用。
【错句举例与错句分析】
错句: He picks early to avoid the wine becoming fat and blowsy.
订正: He picks early to prevent the wine becoming fat and blowsy.
翻译: 为了防止葡萄酒过浓，过重，他采摘得比较早。
分析: 区别“避免”和“防止”，不能说避免葡萄酒过浓，而是防止。
