【地道短语】turn a deaf ear

【解词释义】该习语来源于《圣经》。据说在东方国家，毒蛇若是进入屋内，主人就要请耍毒蛇的人来引诱它入袋，耍蛇人口念咒语，蛇为了不听咒语，将一只耳朵贴于地上，用尾巴塞住第二只耳朵。故英语中有“像毒蛇一样聋（as deaf as an adder）”一说法。据此，该习语比喻“充耳不闻”“置若罔闻”，也就是“不加理睬”“装聋卖傻”的意思。
