have it both ways

解词释义：

have it的意思是“取得优势”，那么have it both ways的意思就是“两方面取得优势”，也就是“两方面都讨好”的意思，跟中文中的“脚踏两只船”意思相近。

支持范例：

Eg. You can't have it both ways. She is either lying or she's not

你不能一时说东，一时说西。她要么在撒谎，要么没撒谎。
