特技太赞了！我喜欢电影里的美妙背景、以及充满外星风味的服饰，武器和生物。这句话中出现了好几个电影方面的词汇。特技叫做special effects。Setting有“环境”的意思，用在电影和小说里就是“背景”。你觉得电影中的背景很赞很美妙可以说它是fantastic settings，other-worldly是超脱尘世的意思。

2.The overall plot of the movie was really very interesting. But I don't think the character development was that strong.
这句话说了好和不好的两方面，好的方面是电影的整体情节overall plot。Plot就是“情节”的意思，overall是“全面的”，合起来overall plot就是整体情节。那不好的方面呢就是角色的发展character development。The overall plot of the movie was really very interesting. But I don't think the character development was that strong.这部影片的整体情节很有趣，但是我觉得角色的发展不是很好。

3.They ruined the movie when they dubbed it into Chinese from English. I would rather have seen it in English with Chinese sub-titles.
这句话评论是配音dubbing。说的中文的配音几乎毁了那部电影，我还是更喜欢听英文原声，配上中文字幕就行了。你觉得有什么因素“毁”了电影就说ruin，配音叫做dub。They ruined the movie when they dubbed it into Chinese from English.中文配音几乎毁了那部电影。Would rather是固定短语，宁愿的意思。字幕呢叫做sub-titles。Sub就是在...的下面“标题、题目”就是title。在下面的题目那就自然而然理解为了字幕。I would rather have seen it in English with Chinese sub-titles-我宁愿去看中文字幕的英文原音电影。
