Turkey has blocked all language editions of Wikipedia citing that the online encyclopedia is "running a smear campaign against the country". Users attempted to use Wikipedia from a Turkish Internet provider have been blocked from the site since the weekend. Turkey has a law that allows it to block sites that are considered obscene or a threat to national security. On the weekend, Turkey also banned TV dating shows and let go approximately 4,000 public servants.
