A Chinese man treated 5,000 customers to free noodles after his backpack was turned in at a restaurant in southwestern China. The backpack contained an engagement ring worth over $44,000 US dollars. The man was planning to propose to his girlfriend that day as it was the couple’s one-year anniversary. The bag had gone missing when the man stepped away from his table to take a phone call. Fortunately, a good Samaritan had noticed the backpack and turned it in. Shortly after getting his backpack back, the customer returned to the restaurant and offered to buy spicy noodles for the next 5,000 customers to show his gratitude.
