American Journalists Murdered On Live TV

Two young American journalists were shot and killed by a disgruntled ex-employee on live TV on August 25. The cameraman, Adam Ward (27) and reporter Alison Parker (24) from WDBJ7 news in Virginia, were killed while doing a live report. TV viewers and employees from the local news station watched the massacre live. The killer, Vester Flanagan, who had been fired from the news station in 2013, shot himself after state troopers found him and drove him off the road. Many people learned about the massacre on Twitter and Facebook, where the killer shared chilling updates and video footage before taking his own life.
