Chinese Tec giant Huawei has filed a lawsuit against the US Commerce Department. The company is questioning whether equipment sent from China to the US, and then back to China, is covered by Export Administration Regulations of the US. The equipment was seized by the US government in September 2017. No decision has been made on what to do with it. Huawei is asking Ford equipment to be either released or for the US to decide that it was a shipped illegally. The US side has yet to respond.
