The new target list from Washington contains over 5700 Chinese products worth 200 billion US dollars. That includes consumer goods such as agricultural products and about 4 billion US dollars’ worth of textile products. On the list are also electronic items like vacuum cleaners and networked devices. The list targets most seafood items fresh and chilled, despite the opposition from US fisheries companies. Compared with the preliminary list released in July, 300 items had been taken out, such as smart devices, Bluetooth equipment and bicycle helmets.
China's new list includes over 5200 products. Earlier the number was just around 650. And it was mainly focused on automobiles and soybeans. To be specific it was 14 billion US dollars’ worth of soybeans. And that accounted for nearly a third of the total sum of the first list. This time China's widened his target range and has hit the industrial goods section. Building materials metals and chemicals as well as a number of mechanical and electrical products are included. Bleached wood pulp alone accounts for 1 billion dollars followed by cow skin at about the same value. The new list also contains food products like meat, seafood, coffee and tea as well as daily necessities and kitchen supplies.
