The Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition is now open to the public. The Expo met its first wave of visitors on Monday morning after a welcoming show featuring traditional Chinese art and culture. The Expo showcases a huge collection of plants, flowers and pavilions from across the world including more than 300 rare and endangered plant species. Chinese President Xi Jinping spoke at the exhibition's opening ceremony on Sunday, calling for joined efforts to take on global environmental problems.
