1. look in on sb/somewhere

：顺便看望......，顺道访问......

讲解：look in是“顺便看望，顺道访问”的意思，不是指“事先带有特殊目的去看望和访问某人”。表示顺便看望或访问具体的人，后面用介词on. 柯林斯词典解释道：If you look in on a person or place, you visit them for a short time, usually when you are on your way somewhere else.

e.g. I looked in on Louisa. She was sleeping.

我顺道去看了一下路易莎。她当时在睡觉。

e.g. I decided to look in on Paul on my way home.

我决定在回家的路上顺便拜访保罗。

2. have a go

（1）试一试，企图尝试

讲解：go在这里做可数名词，表述一次或多次尝试，意思是“企图尝试”。表示“企图尝试着做某事”，用介词at。

e.g. He had several goes at the high jump before he succeeded in clearing it.

他跳高时试跳了几次才跳过去。

e.g. I don't know whether I can do it, but I'm willing to have a go.

我不知道我是否能做, 但我愿意试一试。

（2）埋怨

e.g. They would like to hand over their financial affairs to another body.

5. apart from：除......之外

e.g. Apart from peppers and aubergines, many other vegetables grill well.

e.g. The room was empty apart from one man seated beside the fire.

6. pay a call

（1）拜访，访问

讲解：表示拜访，访问具体的地方或人，用介词on，即为：pay a call on somebody or somewhere。这个访问，拜访是事先带有目的性的，有计划的。

e.g. He decided to pay a call on Tommy Cummings.

他决定去看望一下汤米·卡明斯。

e.g. I shall pay a call on my friend tomorrow.

（2）上厕所

e.g. Excuse me for a minute—I must pay a call of nature before we leave.

7. pay sb a visit：访问某人，拜访某人

e.g. Did you pay a visit to the leaning tower in Pisa while you were in Italy?

8. never mind：没关系，不要放在心上

e.g. I think it's going to cause chaos personally but never mind.

9. all part of：所有中的......的一部分

e.g. It's all part of our system, and it works out pretty well.

10. enjoy (one’s) life：享受生活，愉快生活

e.g. My father always reminded me that I should enjoy life.

（2）陷入
