1.【语意表述】某人的不好的情绪安稳下来，镇静下来。

【句型模板】Somebody calms his nerves.

【指点迷津】calm是“使镇静”的意思，nerve是“神经紧张，焦躁，忧虑”的意思，calm one’s nerves的意思就是“使某人的神经紧张缓和下来，消除焦躁忧虑的情绪”。作为这个意思，它是可数名词。例如：
She doesn't know what nerves are. 她遇事从不着急烦恼。

(i.e. is never worried, upset, etc by events )

(i.e. a very calm temperament in times of stress, danger, etc.)
