正文文本
They dazzled for centuries. They were stolen in minutes. The museum releasing images of the 17 missing pieces. One a 49 carat diamond worth up to 12 million dollars. This is their last known location. German media showing a burnt-out get away car. It was a gang of four thieves, say police, one using an axe to smash open a display cabinet. The fear now is that they break the treasures apart to sell.
This sword has nearly eight hundred diamonds. If they break them down into individual stones or even into individual pieces they will lose a huge a part of their theoretical value. The police have hundreds of tips and they're offering half a million dollars reward but so far no trace of jewels that weren't insured. The insurance premiums on all those diamonds just too expensive.
