And another saying goes, An early bird catches a worm. So, what’s your harvest for this morning? Do follow me and I am hoping we can spend a wonderful and meaningful time here.

We have a way of indicating the speaker hasn’t understood something. It is a way of saying Please explain what you mean. Guess what it is. Let’s listen to the following mini situational dialogue to get the answer.

(Scene:It happens between a master and his servant.)

Master:You should put these boxes over there. Are you following me?

Servant:Yes. I understood all of your instructions.

Have you got the answer? It is Are you following me? If someone asks you like this, you might as well say, I don’t follow you. To follow here means to understand the explanation or meaning of sth . For example: I couldn't follow his argument at all. Here is an another mini situational dialogue:

(Scene:It happens between a son and his mother.)

Son:I am not sure what you mean when you say I don’t work hard.

Mother:I mean that I think you are pretty lazy.

Son:Idon’t follow you. Maybe there is something wrong with my ears.

Dialogue 1:

Son:I don’t follow you. Maybe there is something wrong with my ears.

Theanswersare as follows:

1.He asks his servant to put those boxes over there.

2.Yes, he does.

3.She says to his son that he is pretty lazy and need to work hard.

4.No, he doesn’t. He says he doesn’t follow his mother. And what’s more, he says there is something wrong with his ears.
