今天我们就来看看这句话的意思在英文中如何表达。我们先来听下面的2个句子：

►If you lose your job I'll lose mine, so we are both in the same boat.

►We wage earners are all in the same boat during these hard days.

在我们刚才听到的2个例句中，我们都可以听到同一个词语：in the same boat。这是一条介词性习惯用语。习语中的same是同样的的意思，boat是指船。In the same boat字面意思就是在同一条船上，比喻为in the same unpleasant situation as other people的意思，译为同样的不幸处境共患难等等。刚才我们说了这是一条介词性习惯用语，当然是做方式状语，像我们常说的同舟共济就可以用到这个习语，即：cross a river in the same boat。要做谓语就要和系动词连用，即：to be in the same boat。

我们再通过四个例句来体会这个习语的意思和运用这个习语：

我们现在知道我们最初听到的2个例句的意思，现在我们就回到它们当中来看看它们的意思。

这句话是说：如果你失业，我也失业，所以我们俩处境一样。
