This morning, I am going to talk about a sentence pattern with you. It is : My suggestion is that somebody ( or something ) should do. 这个句式表达的意思是：我的建议是......, 我建议.......。

【主题详解】

Let's make a sentence to get a grasp of it. Look at this sentence: My suggestion is that we should take the 6:00 train. 我的建议是乘坐6点钟的火车。这是一个含有表语从句的复合句。主句是：my suggestion is, 从句是：that we should take the 6:00 train。在这个表语从句中，that 是连词，连接主句和从句，后面的句子使用了虚拟语气，我们可见谓语结构是：should + take (动词原形) , 其中should 是可以省略的。省略后即是这个句子：My suggestion is that we take the 6:00 train. 由上可见，含有一个表语从句的复合句中的主句中的主语含有suggestion这个名词时，表语从句要使用虚拟语气。此外，这个句子中的一个短语我们要掌握：take the + 时间 + train 乘坐几点钟的火车

Look at this one: His suggestion is that bright children ( should ) take their exams early. 他的建议是有天分的小孩提前考试。 我们已经学过了虚拟语气在suggest后面的宾语从句中的运用，那么我们将以上句子用宾语从句来表述，则是：He has suggested that bight children ( should ) take their exams early. 我们还学过了把这个句子变成被动语态，变为被动语态后就是一个主语从句。Have you remembered？How should we put it?
