they'll tell you it's good to change language because people are affected by language
Being more of a linguist it drives me nuts when we change language to change people
because I don't think words are gonna change people
And a good example of this is changing all these chairmen

There are actually two sources for the word "man" in English
One, you hear sometimes Jewish people mutter in movies "Mensch" which means human being
And the other, is the men word, "Mann"
And so, a lot of times when words appear as "man",
they really are from the word "mensch"
And so, they're meaning human being,
they're not meaning male human beings
And so that's how I read this
And I realize, being a man, it's easier for me to read it that way and not feel excluded
He had been forged as a weapon for the aid of mankind, on the assumption that mankind were good
He had been forged, by deluded old teachers
So when you put "deluded" in here, what's he inferring now?
What's he inferring?
That Merlin was wrong
You know, Merlin was deluded
He wasn't right
Into a sort of Pasteur or Curie or pattern discoverer of insulin
The servicer which he had been destined, back to the word,
had been against Force, so we're gonna talk a lot about force in these last ten pages,
the mental illness of humanity
His Table, his ideas of Chivalry, his Holy Grail, his devotion to Justice
So, these are the progressive steps, okay?
these had been progressive, steps in the effort for which he had been bred
He was like a scientist who had pursued the root of cancer all his life
And that cancer is what?
Might
力量
Might to have ended it, to have made men happier
But the whole structure depended on the first premise, that man was decent
If we think a little bit about Lancelot,
Lancelot calls himself the ill-made knight because he feels instrincally, innately he's bad
So he has to do good to compensate for the bad
So in keeping with that idea, he feels he's bad
And what is this?
Might he likens to a flood
And so Arthur now realizes that what he's been doing is trying to dam up a flood. Not a river, but a flood
