Leopold Junior and Loeb who the first non-stop solo flight get life in prison instead of the death penalty after lawyer Clarence Darrow defenced them as their trial.


1881, Clara Barton founds the American Red Cross, serving as the first President of the US branch of world-wide humanitarian agency.
