对于视New Order为终极偶像，并在Oasis(听歌)的现场受到启发的主唱/键盘的Brandon Flowers来说，饱满的吉他音色是一首歌所不可或缺的。随着乐团成员的最终确定，充满着80年代新浪潮的舞动节奏，包含了Lo-Fi以及Indie元素的处女大碟《Hot Fuss》的一经问世，便在大洋彼岸的英国走红，直到06年的《Sam’s Town》才使乐队在两地同时大热走红。
新专辑由为Keane(听歌)以及Madonna(听歌)打造专辑的制作人Stuart Price制作完成。 请用Stuart Price似乎在某种程度上也起到了扩大宣传的作用。The Killers用自己的行动证明了自身的不断变化，从早期非常时髦的《Hot Fuss》到模仿U2( 听歌)般大气的《Sam’s Town》再到如今。也许《Day & Age》不算是The Killers最好的作品，但绝对算是08年的年度最佳专辑之一。从先前发行的单曲《Human》中，我们已经领略到了那充满管弦乐以及Synth-Pop所带来的兴奋，但兴奋之余也掩盖不住歌曲所带来的一丝悲伤的情绪。《Spaceman》所给我们带来无限留恋的旋律以及Brandon Flowers的爆发的高音。不知道这张专辑会不会成为今后二十年最伟大的专辑呢？
