Horrible Banana

Two girls were taking their first train trip to Moscow. A vendor came down the corridor selling bananas which they’d never seen before. Each bought one. The first one eagerly peeled the banana and bit into it just as the train went into a tunnel. When the train emerged from the tunnel, she looked to her friend and said, “I wouldn’t eat that if I were you.” “Why not?” “I took one bite and went blind for half a minute.”

可怕的香蕉

两个女孩头一次做火车到莫斯科去。有一个小贩沿着火车过道卖香蕉。她们从来没有见过香蕉，就各自买了一个。有一个迫不及待地剥了皮，咬了一口。正好这时候火车过一条隧道。当火车从隧道的另一头出来的时候， 她看着她的朋友说：“我要是你的话我就不吃这个。”“为什么？”“我咬了一口，结果有半分钟什么也看不见。”

【词汇讲解】

1.horrible可怕的。也有“极不友好的”的意思：Don't be so horrible to me!别对我如此不友好。

2.banana香蕉。be bananas发疯。Everyone's beginning to think I'm bananas.每个人都认为我疯了。
