Apply for a visa 申请签证

A:I am going to America to attend a sales conference, so I'd like to apply for a visitor visa. 我要去美国参加一次销售会议，所以我想申请一个商务签证。

“apply for”意为“申请，请求”。例如：Anyone who'd like to go abroad must apply for a passport. 打算出国的人都得申请护照。
