Leech----水蛭/寄生虫

大家好，欢迎来到小强英语。在农村生活过、尤其是下过田、趟过水的朋友可能有接触过leech这种东西，那就是蚂蝗，也叫水蛭。

Leeches look like worms and live in water. They feed by attaching themselves to other animals and sucking their blood.
蚂蝗外形像蠕虫，生活在水中，靠依附其他动物并吸它们的血为生。

听起来真真是可恶。延伸出去，If you describe someone as a leech, you disapprove of them because they deliberately depend on other people, often making money out of them. 依附别人、榨取别人钱财、资源的人，我们也形象地把这种人称为“寄生虫”。我们来听一下例句：

They're just a bunch of leeches living off others!
他们只不过是一帮靠别人生活的寄生虫！
