"When she put it up against my t-shirt, that's what was left afterwards."
You can see the red burn marks on Dannie Bolerjack's side.
"Her direct words were, you have a 120 volts of electricity ready to go into you, so don't do anything that you're going to regret."
Surveillance video from inside the Pinellas Park gas station where Bolerjack used to be a store clerk shows an older woman in a yellow hat and flip-flops sneaking-up on him behind the counter. Then pushing the prongs of a stun-gun into his stomach and letting her rip with a jolt that puts Bolerjack on his back.
"She came in first to buy scratch-off tickets, you know, I was like okay, normal person, just..."
Largo Police say senior citizen Rose Tyrka took advantage of her age when she robbed a Subway a few hours later.
A 911 call tells it all.
"We have a lady trying to tase us."
"And, what is that?"
"11180 66th Street North, the Subway."
"What's your phone number? Why is she doing that?"
"Because she said she has starving grandchildren, and she took some money she was using to pay for her sandwich, and she tried to tase one of my employees."
The Largo Police Detective Chris Berard tells me Tyrka isn't even a grandmother. He said she's just a prescription medication junkie.
"She did that with her stun-gun, deployed the stun-gun and stole 130 dollars from the register in order to pay for, she told me, two Fentanol patches."
A judge set Tyrka's bond at 200,000 dollars this morning, and she had the nerve to ask him if her weapon of choice was really a weapon.
Bolerjack tells me her weapon was one of the worst. The stinging reminder is right on his side.
