Centenarian still at work

A Rhode Island man has been working in his family business for much of the last century. WJAR has the story.

Call me Jimmy.

The years may have gone by, but time has not eroded the honesty or the world ethic of James Jimmy Shaw. Jimmy turned 100, Thursday, he was born in Johnston, still lives in Johnston and works at his family owned Shaw’s Garage in Johnston.

There was nothing here. There were apple trees here when I put this here.

Jimmy started working at the shop 80 years ago, and now as a proprietor and manager, he is still working there.

He's seen and fixed a lot of cars.

Davids, Bentleys, Volksmans, Graces, yeah, I know all of them, they're all old cars.
