1.alone
Exp. without any companions 无伴; 独自; 孤单; 孤独
Eg. I don't like going out alone after dark.

2.solitude
Exp. the state of being alone, especially when you find this pleasant 独居，隐居，荒僻之地, 幽静的地方

2.dependent
Usage: ~ (on/upon sb/sth)
Exp. needing support from sb 需要某人支持的; 依靠的; 依赖的

3.subordinate

4.plain

基本用法一：用于连接两个表示并列关系的名词，用于否定两者，其意为既不……也不……

基本用法二：通常应连接两个相同性质的句子成分，但有时后一成分可能省略与前一成分相同的词。若连接两个成分作主语，其谓语通常与靠近的主语保持一致。
Eg. Mary neither likes maths nor likes history.玛丽既不喜欢数学也不喜欢历史。
Eg. Neither Jim nor Jack was at home.吉姆和杰克都不在家。
特殊用法一：但在非正式文体中也可一律用复数。
