Rochester:Please, still...

Don't struggle so... you're like a wild bird clawing at its cage.

as though ( as if )的用法:

He acts as if he knew me.

They treat me as though I were a stranger.

He talks as if he had been abroad.

It looks as if we’ll be late.

This meat tastes as if it has already gone bad.

I feel as if [as though] I’m floating on air.

The stuffed dog barked as if it is [were, was] a real one.

It isn’t as if… 如:

It isn’t as if he were poor.

It isn’t as if you were going away for good.

as good as的用法:

as good as用于字面义,表示“与……

A:Is he as good as her at chess?

B:There’s no comparison.

He as good as said I'm a liar.

The matter is as good as settled.

(as) good as a play

(as) good as gold

(as) good as new 完好如新

as good as one’s word 守信

as good as pie
