同声传译介绍：

本栏目针对想要学习和提高同声传译的所有人群。同声传译最大特点在于效率高，原文与译文翻译的平均间隔时间是三至四秒，最多达到十多秒，世界上95%的国际会议采用的都是同声传译。同时，同声传译具有很强的学术性和专业性，通常用于正式的国际会议，因此对译员素质要求比较高，希望各位能够充分利用这一系列专业教材，早日达到高水平的同声传译目标。

Good morning everyone, my name is Wang Yasai. I am from the Britain Business and Professional English Association. I am the Chief Executive of this Association. Meanwhile, I am also representing The National English Association of UK. I am the general agent of Chinese affairs of this Association. Due to the time limit, I'm not going to give you a long report. Instead, I'd like to brief you on our association. We are the only association in the UK representing the business and professional English training industry of the country. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to maintaining high quality standard of the industry. Meanwhile, we are also promoting Britain's resources in business and professional English training to the world. We are affiliated to English UK, an association representing the whole English training industry in the UK. It is also a non-profit organization. It has more than 360 member schools, including nearly 100 public-founded schools and universities, and 200-odd private schools, educational trusts and welfare organizations. At the same time, it is the world's largest English language Association.

A key function of our association is to cooperate with the British Council. We are its official partner. Our main function is to work with it to supervise and certify the quality of the industry. Thanks to the rigid monitoring system, Britain, in terms of English training, enjoys the highest reputation around the world. Besides, just as the British Council, we also promote Britain's English training resources to the world. For example, the British Council organizes summer camps. And I'm responsible for this financial English training program and preparing the content of the training. Britain has the richest English training resources and experience in the world. We have had extensive contact with various industrial associations in China. And we have found that China has a demand in high-level English training. China's English training has no longer faced the demand of vocabulary or everyday English teaching. Instead, it focuses more on that against the international business background, how can we train the students to have communication ability. For example, how shall we negotiate? How shall we organize an International meeting. We sincerely hope that this event will enable us to communicate with our colleagues and establish closer relationship. Thank you.
