Distinguished Leaders and Dear Guests, Good morning.

First of all, on behalf of Mr. Xu Zhibiao, Director of the Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Information Industry and the Bureau itself, I'd like to extend my warm congratulations to the opening of Shanwei Electronics/Telecommunications Information Products Expo. In recent years, Shanwei's economic and social development has speeded up; its information industry in particular has become the fastest growing and the best industry in Shanwei. Now the industry has become the greatest shining point of Eastern Guangdong, with the emergence of some excellent electronics information manufacturer like Xinli and Dechang. The Flat Panel Display (FPD) and the semiconductor devices manufactured here occupy a very important position in the provincial information industry, which is a testimony to the sound foundation for the development of electronics information industry and the sound growing environment for the industry here in Shanwei. As just now mentioned by Mr. Rong Tiewen, secretary of Shanwei Municipal CPC committee, Shanwei has witnessed the arising of the opportunity for a new round of rapid development. And we're very delighted to see that Shanwei's information industry is under accelerated development. New FPD devices are under rapid development, including the OLED project to be concluded soon with the intellectual property right possessed by the Xinli Group and the TFT-LCD project. We will soon see the most advanced colored small-screen display products produced here in Shanwei. And we can also expect to see, in the next couple of years, the faster development of Shanwei's information industry with better quality at a higher speed.

The Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Information Industry will follow the decision of the Provincial CPC Committee and the Provincial Government to accelerate the development in Eastern Guangdong, and the arrangement of the provincial TFT-LED, LCD project leading group, coordinate with Shanwei municipal government, fulfill its responsibility in the investment and independent innovation of information industry, support the local FPD industry and semiconductor industry to accelerate their development and speed up the industrial agglomeration so as to promote Shanwei's economic development, the structure upgrading and independent innovation of information industry. We will spare no efforts in this regard. Finally, I wish the Shanwei Electronics/Telecommunications Information Products Expo & the Economic and Trade Cooperation Project 2006 a complete success.
