I had a nightmare last night, thank God, it was just a dream. 我昨晚做了场恶梦，感谢上帝，这只是场梦而已。

Heavy/light sleeper睡得很熟而不易唤醒的人/睡觉很轻的人，睡眠易惊醒的人
I'm definitely a light sleeper, but my husband is quite the opposite, a heavy sleeper. 我睡觉绝对很轻，而我丈夫却恰恰相反，瞌睡虫一个。

Power nap：午休小憩
I just had a power nap in the sofa, wow, I'm feeling energetic again. 我在沙发上小睡了一会，哇，又精神起来了。

Doze off：打瞌睡，打盹儿
We couldn't help but doze off during his lecture. 他演讲时我们不得不打瞌睡。

Insomnia：n. 失眠
He's suffering from insomnia. 他患失眠症。

Butter up：v. 过分恭维，巴结，讨好
You can butter up the boss to ask for one day off. 你可以拍拍老板马屁让他给你放一天假。

He began to butter up the director in hope of being given a better job. 他开始奉承主任，希望得到一份更好的工作。
