The injury disfigured the boss's face.

She felt like a disgraced woman.

The doctor told our boss not to be dismayed by her appearance because it will heal back to normal in a few months.

“My face doesn't look that bad, does it?” the boss asked me.

Not wanting to disillusion her, I replied, “It's looking better every day.”
