Under the table听起来像是“在桌子的底下”的意思。Under the table表示“在桌子底下”。比如：One of the dice has rolled under the table. 有一粒骰子滚到桌子下面去了。

Drink在这儿是指“喝酒”，喝酒为什么要到桌子底下呢？其实这是您的误解。Under the table在这儿是指“醉倒，酩酊大醉，喝趴下”。我们可以理解为喝醉的人总是倒在了桌下了。
