Charles Lindbergh becomes the first person to fly solo non-stop across the Atlantic Ocean.
In 1927, Charles A. Lindbergh became the first person to fly solo non-stop across the Atlantic Ocean.
He flew a plane named The Spirit of St Louis from New York to Paris.
