Harry squinted at the window.
哈利眯眼看看窗外，粉红淡金的天空中笼罩着一层薄薄的轻雾。

“Exactly,” said Wood. He was a tall and burly sixth year and, at the moment, his eyes were gleaming with a crazed enthusiasm.

Yawning and shivering slightly, Harry climbed out of bed and tried to find his Quidditch robes.

“Good man,” said Wood.

“Meet you on the field in fifteen minutes.”

尽管选用了一位美国导演，华纳仍赋予了罗琳极大的控制权力，并大力支持了她对影片必须尽量保持英国化的要求，因此选用了大批的英国演员。而克里斯在第一部的执导很好的还原了原著气氛，保持了他作为一个儿童电影导演特有的趣味和童真，许多从第一部开始追看《哈利波特》的影迷至今还念念不忘，克里斯为这部系列作品做出的“童真”式的开头，当然，这也跟罗琳的整体写作风格在逐渐成人化有关，第一部《魔法石》的确算是《哈利波特》系列中最天真无邪和心无旁骛的一部。
