A big, lumpy package bounced off Neville's head and, a second later, something large and gray fellinto Hermione's jug, spraying them all with milk and feathers.

“Errol !” said Ron, pulling the bedraggled owl out by the feet.

Errol slumped, unconscious, onto the table, his legs in the air and a damp red envelope in his beak.

Ron was pointing at the red envelope.

It looked quite ordinary to Harry, but Ron and Neville were both looking at it as though they expectedit to explode.
那信封在哈利看来很平常，可是罗恩和纳威却好像觉得它会爆炸似的。
“What's the matter?” said Harry.
“怎么啦？”哈利问道。
“She's — she's sent me a Howler,” said Ron faintly.
“她—妈妈给我寄了一封吼叫信。”罗恩有气无力地说。
“You'd better open it, Ron,” said Neville in a timid whisper.
“你最好打开它，罗恩，”纳威害羞地小声说，
“It'll be worse if you don't. My gran sent me one once, and I ignored it and”—he gulped—“itwas horrible.”
“不打开更糟糕。奶奶给我寄过一回，我没理它，结果—”他吸了口气，“太可怕了。”

1.Tim Roth本来是斯内普教授一角的热门候选人，不过他为了拍Tim Burton的《决战猩球》而退出了选角竞争。
