grace period 宽限期

grace在宗教中的意思是“上帝的恩典”，由此而引申出“仁慈,宽恕”的意思,再扩展到“宽限,宽限期”的意思。例如:givea year’s grace (宽限一年）。grace period 指“一定时间的宽限"。

A:对不起。我今天不能交学费。

B:It's OK. We're allowing a grace period until Friday.

B:没关系，我们可以宽限到星期五。
