The Olympic torch relay has concluded in Nanjing, capital city of East China's Jiangsu province on Tuesday.

A minute of silence was observed before the event started. Following that, 208 torchbearers, aged from 14 to 91, carried the sacred flame across the city along a route streching nearly 13 kilometers.

Torchbearer Yang Yang, the former world badminton champion, runs first during the torch relay. He expressed his concern to people affected in the earthquake happend on May 12 in Sichuan Province.

"I hope the torch relay can bring courage to the people affected in the quake to overcome the difficulties."

Nanjing is the fifth and last leg of the torch relay in Jiangsu. The sacred flame will be relayed in neighbouring Anhui province on Wednesday.
