When I was in France

and ended up with something completely different

It was delicious

The names of foods are nouns
食品的名称是用名词表示的
Some of them are countable nouns
在这些名词中,有些是可数名词
Things that can be counted
可数名词是指可以用数目来计算的事物
Bananas, carrots, biscuits
例如,香蕉,胡萝卜,饼干等
The rest are uncountable nouns
其他的名词是不可数名词
Things which are not able to be counted
不可数名词是指不可用数目来计算的事物
Rice, cheese, milk

It's important to notice that

when you are using uncountable

or plural nouns you use some or any
需要添加some或any
For example, May I have some cheese please?

We don't have any olives

I would like some milk in my coffee
我想在咖啡中加点牛奶
We use any in negative sentences and some in positive sentences
通常 any用于否定句 some用于肯定句
