“What is that?” said Lucy, as she came out on the steps.

“那是什么？”露西从台阶上走下来，说道，

“Oh, it is a little boat! What a pretty one it is!”

“噢，这是条小船。多漂亮的小船呀！”

“I will give it to you when it is finished,” said John, kindly. “Would you like to have it?”

“等完工后，我会把它送给你。”约翰亲切地说，“你喜欢吗？”

“Yes, very much, thank you, John. Has grandma seen it?”

“喜欢，非常喜欢，谢谢你，约翰。奶奶看过了吗？”

“Not yet; we will take it to her by and by. What have you in your pan, Lucy?”

“还没有，我们以后会拿给她看。露西，你的锅里是什么？”

“Some corn for my hens, John; they must be very hungry by this time.”

“是一些给母鸡吃的小米，约翰。它们这时一定很饿了。”
