Night falls on the French village of Longpont, northeast of Paris. It's around here that anti-terrorism police are focussing their search for two suspected killers on the loose. They're looking for two brothers of Algerian descent, suspected of carrying out Wednesday's deadly attack in Paris at Charlie Hebdo, the liberal weekly newspaper known for lampooning radical Islam. Police think the gunmen may have abandoned their car here and a resident says police have told villagers to stay inside. Police are also searching nearby Corcy, where the fugitives had been spotted. Residents look bewildered as heavily armed police in ski masks comb the village, in a meticulous house-to-house search that includes garages and barns. The villages are set in thick forest and boggy marshland and it isn't clear if the brothers are holed up in the area or have moved on.

Authorities fire stun grenades to disperse the crowds and arrest dozens of protesters. Prior to the clashes, a peaceful display of anger. An estimated 2,000 protesters march through the city, which raised the fares by nearly 20 U.S. cents.

Hamza was convicted in May on terrorism-related charges, including his role in the 1998 kidnapping of Western tourists in Yemen that left four hostages dead. Hamza has maintained his innocence. His attorney, Sam Schmidt, urged a shorter sentence. (SOUNDBITE) (English) DEFENSE ATTORNEY SAM SCHMIDT, SAYING: "I think that there should have been a sentence of a number of years to allow him whether it's in his 70s or his 80s, if he survives that long in the Bureau of Prisons to spend some time with his family." Hamza gained notoriety for his fiery sermons in London. U.S. and U.K. officials said he inspired a generation of militants. He was also convicted of sending two followers to Oregon to start a militant training camp. At his sentencing, the judge cited his speeches in which he justified killing non-Muslims and praised the September 11th attacks.

Germany ballet company Gaertnerplatz’s version of classic fairytale Sleeping Beauty, which it brought to Beijing Sunday, includes several major changes from the original story.
"The biggest change I've made is that the baby is not from the Queen; the baby is actually from Karabosse,” said creative director Karl Alfred Scheiner.
“So she sells her baby and that's the motivation when she wants it back, the Queen pretends. Because in the original story, the Queen can't get pregnant and only one time pregnant, but I did this trick where she really cannot get pregnant so she buys a baby, hides it from the king and hides it from everyone and pretends to everyone ‘this is my baby.’"
Gaertnerplatz, the 150 year-old ballet company based in Munich, is synonymous with contemporary dance. It creates new forms of expressions on the foundations of the classical repertoire of movements, always creating and recreating new interpretations of classical dances and stories.
In this production, the princess chooses to sleep, and a large part of act two is a magnified and prolonged presentation of her dream, which gives her insight and courage to love.
Audience members of all ages filled the theater Sunday night.
"I think there's no age limit to these fairy tales. I didn't grow up with these stories as a child in Beijing, but even at this age I think there are so many lessons we can leave with," said an audience member.
Gartnerplatz is on a month-long tour of China and will be traveling to most major cities, taking the fairlytale all over the country.
