On Sunday India, one of up to 25 nations involved in the search for the missing plane, put its operations on hold while Malaysia reassesses the hunt, now into its second week. Flight MH370 vanished with 290 passengers and crew on board on March 8th. A huge air and sea search has found no trace and there is growing evidence that the plane's disappearance was carefully planned. Investigators are increasingly convinced the aircraft was deliberately steered way off its intended course by someone with enough knowledge to disable the plane's automatic tracking systems. Background checks are underway on all those on board the jet as the mystery of Flight MH370 deepens by the day.

Internationally it's created a controversy which has brought threatened sanctions against Moscow a step closer. The European Union views the referendum as illegal. Dmitry Kiselyov's show, News of the Week, is closely watched for clues to Kremlin policy and signs of how the government wants Russians to perceive events.

South Korea condemns North missile launch

North Korea fired 25 short-range missiles into the sea off the east of the Korean peninsula on Sunday. It was an unusually large number but South Korea said they were obsolete weapons, probably about 40 years old. Even so, Seoul said the missile launch was provocative.

Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group has decided to hold its long-awaited IPO in the United States. The decision ends months of speculation after a Hong Kong listing didn't push through last year. But right now neither the NYSE nor the Nasdaq would comment on where exactly Alibaba would list.
Analysts say Alibaba could raise up to 15 billion U.S. dollars in the IPO. That would be the highest profile public offering since Facebook's 16 billion dollar listing in 2012.
This is seen as the second wave of major Chinese internet IPOs - Weibo and JD.com are two other key internet firms heading for U.S. listings.
Alibaba said on its website it might consider a future A-share listing so Chinese investors can share in the growth.

Ten days into its mysterious disappearance, there’s still no trace of flight MH370. Malaysia said on Monday search operations were progressing along larger areas of land and water.
Meanwhile, more details of the investigation have been revealed. The pilots, crew members and ground staff are now at the center of a Malaysian police investigation. And there’s mounting evidence to suggest the plane’s disappearance was meticulously planned.

Malaysia says the search for the missing jetliner has been re-calibrated to the northern and southern corridors of a vast swathe of Asia, where the missing jetliner is believed to have finally disappeared.
26 countries have been involved in the massive hunt.
"For countries in the search corridors, we’re requesting radar and satellite information, as well as specific assets for the search and rescue operation," said Hishammuddin Hussein, Malaysian Acting Transport Minister.
And an ever-expanding timeline of events before flight MH370 vanished.
"Initial investigation indicates to us that it was the co-pilot who basically spoke the last time it was recorded on tape," said Ahmad Jauhari Yahya, Malaysia Airlines CEO.
And that message was "All right, good night". No mention if the plane’s ACARS system was deliberately switched off. The timing of the last words has sharpened suspicions of sabotage.
Malaysian police are now digging into the financial status of the pilot and co-pilot in the cockpit.
The captain’s flight simulator has been confiscated from his home and is now being investigated.
With nearly one third of passengers onboard is Chinese, China has asked Malaysia to release more information.
"We hope that Malaysia can provide accurate and comprehensive information to China and expand the scope of search. At the same time, China will re-allocate resources based on the changing situation. China will not reduce its efforts in the search for the plane," said Hong Lei, Spokesman of Chinese Foreign Ministry.
With the international search progressing and expanding, everyday brings with it the hope there will be answers soon.
