Conversation 2

W: I'm really looking forward to this exhibition and it will be the first time we've done something educational outside college.

M: Yeah, that's true. But I'm still not quite sure how we,re going to get to the museum. I know Reading quite well but I don't know London at all.

W: Well, I was thinking of taking a taxi to the station first and then a direct train to London.

M: That sounds like a good idea. How about the museum though, I guess it must be quite central, probably near the station, right?

W: No, not at all. It,s actually out of the city centre.(5)We could take the number 14 bus from town or regular, but the 29 is quicker.(乘29路公交车更能节省时间。)get there in about 5 minutes.

M: Oh, sounds kind of complicated then.

W: Not that complicated.(6)(7-1)As I said,we just take that bus and once we get off we just head towards the old town hall and the museum is on the left, right beside the library.(博物馆在老市政大厅左侧、图书馆的旁边。)

M: Sounds like you've got it more or less figured out.

W: I hope so. We'll be OK as long as we head north and don't get off at the wrong stop of course.

M: That would be a nightmare. We might end up at another museum or get lost all together like last time.

W:(7-2)Well, now you come to mention it. Actually there's a bunch of other museums in that area, so we could always go there afterwards, if you're interested.(女士知道那里有很多博物馆,并提出还可以去其他的博物馆,很明显女士更熟悉去博物馆的路线。)
