China is urging the U.S. Congress to adopt reforms to give emerging markets a bigger say at the International Monetary Fund.
China's Vice Finance Minister Zhu Guangyao made these comments today, saying the reforms should begin as soon as possible. That comes after the IMF delayed a crucial assessment
on the inclusion of the Chinese yuan in its reserves. An IMF reform was agreed in 2010 to give emerging markets more voting power. That reform has been delayed on the U.S.
Congress' veto.

Besides freezing sales of its diesel engine models in the US and Canada, VW's Porsche unit has also withdrawn its Cayenne diesel sport utility vehicles.
The move followed a new allegation from the U-S Environmental Protection Agency that Audi and Porsche cars with 3-litre diesel engines were equipped with illegal "defeat
devices".
The company had previously stated only its 2-liter diesel engines had such fraud devices, which cover up excessive emissions of poisonous gases when the vehicles undergo
pollution testing.
The new sales freeze affect VW Touaregs with diesel engines, alongside some of Audi's A series cars, and Q5 and Q7 models.
