Russia says it's arrested two men suspected of killing opposition activist Boris Nemtsov, who was gunned down near the Kremlin in a brazen assassination that shocked the country.
The arrests come a week after the longtime critic of President Vladimir Putin was shot four times in the back as he strolled with a Ukrainian girlfriend along a bridge in the heart of the capital, in full view of the presidency and tourist sites such as Red Square.
Two suspects have been detained on Saturday in Moscow in connection of killing of Boris Nemtsov. The Investigative Committee which is leading the investigation has named them as Anzor Gubashev and Zaur Dadayev. While the committee said the individuals detained on Saturday were involved in the organization and execution of the killing of Boris Nemtsov, not too many details are known about the two.
But they are believed to be from the North Caucasus, a troubled area of Russia where Nemtsov could have some enemies. And according to some reports, these two have admitted their guilt although this hasn't been confirmed by the police.
While Vladimir Putin, the Russian President, has been notified about this arrest, and now the police has some 48 hours to officially, formally charge these two men. But some critics say these two simply carried out the killing, and they could be used as scapegoat, and insist that those who ordered the killing of Boris Nemtsov must be found.
While the investigation has been going on for over a week since Boris Nemtsov was gunned down in Moscow over a week ago, and in that time the police has been studying CCTV footage, some videos, some evidence, and some witness accounts. And there were some controversies over some of the footage from the CCTV cameras.
According to some reports, some cameras were switched off for unknown reason. But the police has studied a mobile phone register, and they found a car that were used as get-away car by the attackers, which then led them to those arrests earlier on Saturday. But the key witness in this case will probably have to indentify the attackers. And one of the key witnesses is the woman was with Boris Nemtsov on the night when he was killed. But she is in Kiev at the moment, and she might have to fly to Moscow to take part in the identification.

Reuters says that after thirty years of high speed growth, China is now addressing slower growth, while also fighting against corruption and environmental pollution, adding that more reforms can help deliver a sustainable economy in China.
Bloomberg Business predicts that China is still the fastest-growing economy in the G20 member group, relying more on the service industry and a consumption driven sector. They add that China's leadership is aware that more opportunities should be provided through employment rather than just pursuing economic growth.
The Deutsche Welle website reports that the Chinese economy is going through a fundamental transition, and that the country's economy will become more stable after this transformation.
