SYRIAN PRESIDENT BASHAR AL-ASSAD, SAYING: "I just want to say that when we describe this as a matter of terrorism, we are no longer talking about the domestic political framework. We are now facing a real war from outside." He also denied suggestions that government forces were behind the massacre last week of over 100 men, women and children in the small town of Houla. But Syrian refugees in Jordan dismissed the speech as empty rhetoric. UNIDENTIFIED SYRIAN REFUGEE, SAYING: "He is repeating the same words, conspiracy, armed groups, terrorists from abroad, funding. SOUNDBITE: Protester, Busra Alpaslan saying: "We are here today because we are against this law that's forbidding abortion because the abortion is woman's right and this is not about abortion being a bad thing or anything, it's about (how the) government wants women to be only wives and mothers and we are against it." Many in this crowd say they're furious about Erdogan's recent comments. Last week he characterized abortion and caesarean births as secret plots to stall Turkey's economic growth. While details of the bill are still being worked on --- these demonstrators say Erdogan, a religious and social conservative who has pushed for each woman to have at least three children, has overstepped his bounds. There's no sign of it stopping yet. Firefighters said they had contained about 17 percent of the inferno. They admit they still have a long way to go. Fire lines were being built to stop the flames reaching communities. Hot windy weather and the harsh terrain are adding to the difficulties. The fire was started by lightning on May 16th. TEXT:Britain Prepares for Jubilee Celebrations
Palace staff members have put the finishing touches on the queen's ceremonial carriage, which will carry her through the streets of London in a royal procession.
Even the horses have to rehearse for their roles. In the end, it will look similar to the procession that took Queen Elizabeth to the opening of parliament last month.
The pomp and ceremonies of royalty are alien to many modern democracies. But the queen's longevity and the dignified way she carries out her duties appear to have cemented the monarchy's place in 21st-century Britain.
The city is being dressed up for the big party, including a huge poster of the queen and her family during her 25th-year celebrations.
MAN1: "I think the Diamond Jubilee is absolutely terrific. She's been the queen for 60 years. It's a celebration of all that she's given to this country, all the service she's given us over 60 years."
MAN2: "It's a fantastic occasion. Everyone is on a high. There's a lot of things to be not so pleased about going on in the world at the moment, so it's nice to have something that brightens up everybody's lives for a bit. So, yeah, it's great, fantastic, really looking forward to it."
Elizabeth is the only queen most Britons have ever known. She came to the throne as a young woman of 26, and pledged to serve for "all the days" of her life.
Those days have not been without controversy and tragedy, but at age 86, the queen has emerged as a hugely popular figure. Talk of ending the British monarchy has all but ended.
And when the queen joins the river pageant on Sunday, on board this specially built barge, and heralded by a boatload of bells, hundreds of thousands of people will gather along the river to cheer, just as they have throughout her jubilee year.

【Is Your Computer Committing Cybercrimes?】
TEXT:This is the VOA Special English Technology Report.
Last week, we told you about efforts by Microsoft Corporation to stop Zeus, one of the most harmful cybercrime operations active today.
Zeus hackers use a network of infected computers, known as botnets, to steal personal information from computer users.
On March twenty-third, officials seized computer servers in two states, Pennsylvania and Illinois. The servers were said to be operating some of the worst known Zeus botnets.
Richard Boscovich is with the Digital Crimes Unit at Microsoft. He says the operators of the servers did not know they were linked to cybercrime .
RICHARD BOSCOVICH: "The hosting providers in and of themselves are not necessarily in cahoots with the criminals, so to speak. In the room that we walked into there were over ten thousand computers. So their business is simply to host customers."
Zeus botnets are positioned all over the world. Mr. Boscovich says they act as command and control centers for the infected computers.
RICHARD BOSCOVICH: "It's not just one botnet but probably hundreds of different botnets that come from this particular code base."
And, he says, the Zeus botnets are not easy to identify.
RICHARD BOSCOVICH: "These command and control centers are constantly moving. So it takes a lot of effort to be able to identify where they were, or where they are and where they are going to be."
Microsoft says it is studying information gathered from the servers that were seized last month. It hopes to gather more evidence against the unidentified Zeus operators. It also hopes to identify and notify the more than thirteen million computer users that have been infected with the Zeus malware .
Mr. Boscovich says there are many things that users can and should do to protect themselves from harmful software programs. At the very least, he says, they should be using legitimate software that has been purchased from creditable providers. And he says every computer must have current anti-virus software.
Most of all, Mr. Boscovich says, computer users must be careful about e-mails.
RICHARD BOSCOVICH: "The bad guys are extremely adept at sending emails that appear to be from friends, from family members or from banks or companies, in fact."
Microsoft is not alone in efforts to fight cybercrime. Security experts from CrowdStrike, Dell SecureWorks and other companies took down a large botnet known as Kelihos last month. As quickly as Kelihos was stopped, researchers say cybercriminals began working to build another botnet.
Also last month, the European Union announced steps to fight the growing problem of cybercrime. They include plans to establish a new cybercrimes center, to be based in The Hague. The center will deal with issues like misuse of credit card information, identity theft and the sexual abuse of children online.
