小华和小红时刻关注近日美国众议院议长佩洛西亚洲行的事儿，“佩洛西众议长如果访台，将严重违反一个中国原则和中美三个联合公报规定，严重危害中国主权和领土完整，严重破坏中美关系政治基础，必然对中美两国两军关系造成极其严重的破坏，导致台海局势进一步紧张升级。”

Xiaohua：I’ve been reading news about the China-US relations.

小华：我一直在阅读关于中美关系的新闻。

Xiaohong：Tensions between the US and China are escalating if US House Speaker Pelosi is expected to visit Taiwan as part of her tour of Asia.

小红：如果美国众议院议长佩洛西预计将访问台湾作为她亚洲之行的一部分，中美紧张关系将会升级。

Xiaohua：Right. In spite of warnings from Biden administration officials.

小华：对。尽管拜登政府官员警告她别去（她还是要去）。

Xiaohong：Because they are worried about China's response to such a high-profile visit.

小红：因为他们担心这次高调出访中方会做出反应。

Xiaohua：This possible visit could be the first for a US House speaker in 25 years.

小华：这次可能出访是美国众议院议长25年以来的首次啊。

Xiaohong：And, the stop is not on her public itinerary.

小红：这次逗留其实不在她公开行程上。

Xiaohua：I think this could be at a low point of US-China relations.

小华：我觉得这会使得中美关系降到低点。

Xiaohong：I'm angry about this visit because we should defend our sovereignty and territorial integrity.

小红：我对这次访问感到愤怒，因为我们要维护主权和领土完整。

Xiaohua：Zhao Lijian, Foreign Ministry spokesman, told reporters, “We would like to tell the US once again that China is standing by, and the Chinese People's Liberation Army will never sit idly by. China will take resolute responses and strong countermeasures to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity,”

小华：外交部发言人赵立坚告诉记者:“我们想再次告诉美国，中国正严阵以待，中国人民解放军绝不会坐视不管。中国将采取坚决回应和强有力的反制措施，捍卫主权和领土完整。”

Xiaohong：If she dares to go, then let’s wait and see.

小红：如果她敢去，那就等着瞧。

Xiaohua：Yes. Let's wait and see. The Weibo post “Preparing for war” could be a warning over Taiwan.

小华：对，咱就等着瞧。微博博文“备战”是对台湾的警告。
